Overivew
Signals NZ is a New Zealand-based online marketplace for various services and professionals, including trades, insurance, plumbing, dentistry, website design, and website development. Their mission is to support local charities, simplify finding services for Kiwis, and promote local businesses. Customers can submit an online form to request services, and business owners can submit quotes. The customer can then select the quote that best fits their needs from the options provided.
Website Design
We followed the client’s brand guidelines and created a basic style guide for consistent web design. We focused on usability and accessibility, ensuring the design passes Double AA compliance for font colour contrast and sizes. This creates an intuitive experience across desktop and mobile screens.
Supporting Local Charities
Our client envisioned the platform to support local charities by donating a portion of sales. Our website designer created a section on the homepage to showcase the supported charities and the payment page, while our website developer implemented the sales donation feature.
Get a Quote
We created a mobile-friendly “Get a quote” form to help customers find services that match their needs. The submitted quotes will notify businesses based on specific criteria, and the relevant service providers will capture leads.

Website Development Technology
Due to unique requirements, we built a custom online marketplace platform using Laravel and Tailwind frameworks instead of leveraging an existing WordPress plugin solution. The platform includes custom admin and business account dashboards.
